ArtScience Museum

ArtScience Museum is anchored by a round base in the middle, with ten extensions referred to as “fingers”. The design concept for each finger denotes various gallery spaces sporting skylights at the “fingertips” which are included as sustainable illumination for the curved interior walls.

In the morning proceed for Botanic Gardens with National Orchid Garden. Botanic Gardens is a dynamic and living monument to the foresight of the founding fathers of Singapore. Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of Singapore and a keen naturalist, established the first botanical garden. National Orchid Garden contains over 1000 species and 2,000 hybrids are now found in the Gardens’ collection, with about 600 species and hybrids on display. Every year, more vibrant and enduring hybrids are added on. So that all may admire and enjoy their diversity, richness and beauty, the National Orchid Garden now offers a permanent showcase, the largest display of tropical orchids in the world.

Science Centre

In the afternoon visit Science Centre Singapore a leading regional Science Centre, celebrates 35 years of promoting interest and creative learning in science and technology. It prides itself on making science an inspiring and exciting experience for people of all ages. Over the past 35 years, the Centre has been a custodian of creativity and innovation, capturing the evolution of scientific developments through unique and relevant exhibitions and shows and continues to ignite young minds and foster new generations of scientifically savvy Singaporeans. Our many interactive exhibits, housed in 14 galleries, cover a wide range of topics related to science, technology and mathematics.

Snow city

The snow level in the Snow Chamber (snow-covered area of Snow City building) is maintained at 400mm in depth. Up to 150 tons of snow are required to cover the snow grounds and about 10 –15 tons of snow is made each week to maintain this snow level. The amazing fact is: all this snow is produced on-site using a specially-designed snow gun.

Omni Theatre

The Cool-Moist Conservatory enters the Cloud Forest, a mysterious world veiled in mist; entirely different from the Flower Dome. A 35-metre tall mountain covered in lush vegetation shrouding the world’s tallest indoor waterfall showcases plant life from tropical highlands up to 2,000-metres above sea level.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world that exists beyond the surface of the lakes. More than a thing of beauty, the lakes are a rich source of aquatic life from fish to plants. These plants act as a natural eco-filter to cleanse water that has been captured from run-offs or pumped in from the connecting Marina reservoir. Filter beds comprising aquatic reeds are strategically located where the water enters and discharges from the lake system.
