Air Force Museum

The Air Force Museum captures the spirit and heritage of the RSAF. The first museum was established at Changi Air Base on 1 Sep 1988. Two years later, an expansion programme was initiated to cater to RSAF’s growing heritage needs. Subsequently, the museum was relocated to a brand new building in Paya Lebar. The museum now resides on 10,600 m² of land, with a total built up area of 4,600 m². The exhibition area comprises mainly the outdoor gallery, eight indoor galleries on the second level and the history of aviation gallery on the first level. The theme for the entire display is “Men, Machine and Method”.

NUS Museum

Its mission is to actively facilitate the intellectual and cultural life of the NUS community. Focusing primarily but not exclusively on Southeast Asian art and culture, the Museum contributes to and facilitates the production, reception, and preservation of knowledge through collections development and curatorial practice, developing partnerships within NUS, the cultural and heritage industry, and the global knowledge community. The roots of NUS Museum can be traced to the establishment in 1955 of the University Art Museum at the then University of Malaya located in Singapore. Under the direction of Michael Sullivan, the museum’s first curator from 1954 to 1960, the collection was instrumental in the teaching and study of Art History at the university. Established before Singapore’s independence, the University Art Museum may be regarded as a prototypical museum institution, its historical trajectory and collection reflecting the search for a Malayan identity situated within the context of Southeast Asia, China and India.

Army Museum of Singapore

This museum will preserve the heritage of the Singapore Army, as well as honour the contributions and celebrate the experiences of our soldiers. It hopes to capture and tell the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. (Please click here to read Dr. Albert Lau’s “Towards an SAF Museum”, which traces steps taken since the 1970s towards the establishment of the museum.). The Army Museum of Singapore (ARMS) aims to pay tribute to all who have contributed: NSmen, NSFs, regulars, veterans, males, females, and also family members for their support. The Army constantly transforms and adapts to meet new challenges. However, amidst all the developments in hardware, systems and capabilities, and evolution in structures and doctrines, the Army will always remain anchored to our Mission, our Values and our People.

Just four decades, Singapore has overcome water shortages despite its lack of natural water resources and pollution in its rivers. Driven by a vision of what it takes to be sustainable in water, Singapore has been investing in research and technology. Today, the nation has built a robust, diversified and sustainable water supply from four different sources known as the Four National Taps (water from local catchment areas, imported water, reclaimed water known as NEWater and desalinated water). By integrating the system and maximising the efficiency of each of the four taps, Singapore has ensured a stable, sustainable water supply that is weather resilient, capable of catering to the country’s continued growth.
